I have been out calling in all kinds of bad weather. I use just one open reed call, and have found that I can kill coyotes on alsmost anyday. I think when it gets windy to the point that you know longer enjoy being out there, then head home. The coyotes are still out there, you may just have to call for a shorter amount of time and make more stands. You will have to be closer to the coyote for him to hear you but if he feels like responding he will come in and take a look. I am not trying to make it sound to simple but if a coyote is hungry and you are blowing the dieing rabbit blues I do not think it matters to him if it is windy or not. You just have to decide if you want to be out there or not. I also think it depends on the terrain. West Texas, North West Arizona, Western North Dakota, Central Minnesota, all have very different terain and I think the wind would effect your calling differently at each location. Thats my 2 cents.
