Is there anyone who hunts in the south on here. Im from north Alabama and have started hunting coyote a little. I have killed several before while deer hunting, but i have yet to call up a dog and get a shot. If anyone has any tips about hunting this kind of area i would appriciate them.

I dont have any pictures, but its mostly wooded areas or pastures and gas lines. I deer hunt on a gas line that seperates some hardwoods and a big thicket. The gas line is about 40 yards across. I have seen alot of dogs coming in and out of the thicket and have tried calling with an electronic call. I've called one all the way to the edge of the gas line but he never would come out. This area is very populated with cyotes.

can you get up in the air?? tree stands on the edge of the timber, portable stands work good for this as well.

if you have a ecaller with a remote that you can get out in front of you 50 - 100 yards out in a clearing will work good in heavy cover. Nice to get some elevation to see into the brush.
