Hey guys: I'm posting for the first time on your site, My buddy turned me on to you guys about six months ago, and I've picked up a bunch of usefull info without ever posting a coment. Seems like alot of good hunters just want to shoot the bull and talk coyote hunting!
Last night I took my wife out for her frist yote hunt. She got a new camera this sumer with a zoom lens, and wanted to come a shoot pics of the hunt. Our first stand, one or two came in behind us and spooked the cows off to our right never did see them but sure could tell they were there. The second stand, right at sundown produced a spooked yote on the walk in, so floped down and started calling right there. We got five more visuals, within 3/4 mile and one pup commited to a howl after 20 minutes of rabbit distress. With low lighting conditons she didn't get a pic of the pup at 75 yards before I took her out, second of the season.
Me and a buddy of mine started a dermisted beetle colonie this spring, to do euopean mounts on deer, well I got to addmit there are time the smell gets bad, but those little bugs to good work!!! Stuck my coyote skull in this morning and i'm sure they will have it clean by sunday. just another reason to harvest a coyote, even if the pelt is junk!
