I received this today from the UPS man! A great little unit!!!! Packs plenty of volume, small compact size, lightweight/ good for long hikes and hilly terrain, smaller than my 15 w unit. Volume for the size is outstanding!!!!!

How do you like the new call? Is it louder than the standard FP? come on share the info!!  I want to buy a new caller and I can't decide between the CS=24 and the Fury? So list all the pros and cons and I promise I won't turn this into a bitch session about what caller is better the WT or the FP.

You have to use the remote. cost 489.00 in the white, 10.00 more for sage green and 30.00 more for camo dipped. 5 year warranty on this unit. holds 500 sounds and downlaodable to remote, remot has many of the options the fury does minus foxfade and stand sequance. 10 pre sets at pre set volumes, change font size have red background or no light, battery meter on remote and battery indicator on unit. you can change volume levles from 1-10 at a time.

I just got one of the new CS-24's.............WOW! Very loud. good grief. Been using it up in the hills to locate coyotes the past 2 weeks. The siren is just obnoxiuos. I thought the remote was a little much when I first looked at it but have found it easy to use. The unit itself is small, durable and has a just a on/off toggle switch. So far I love it.

Has anyone tested the range on the remote? I'm working on making something fairly similar to this and want to know what kind of range I need to try to beat

The farthest I've sat from mine and called is about 200 yds. and not had any problems. I've never tried to see how far it can reach from though.

I don't mean to hijack this thread, but this is a picture of the electronic caller that I'm in the process of making, mentioned it above. It's not quite finished yet, just have a few little things left to complete on it (switches, indicator light(s), etc. Still need to camo. up the speaker part of it. What do you guys think?

Remote. I'm going to transmit the sounds over a radio wavelength and control the sounds using a beat-up ipod. That's what the antenna will be used for  :)

Very Cool what was the rough cost to build it?

I bought the fm transmitter from my sister for $8.50, the PA speaker for $10, got the antennas for free from a local electronics recycling bin and we had the mug lying around taking up space. There's going to be a small amplifier from shady-o-rack put inside the mug too that I picked up for about $12.00. Altogether, if I'm able to get some decent range out of it, probably cost me about $35 to make. Will still need a couple switches and spray paint, but other than that, just need to get it put together!

You might have yourself a little profit making business there. Looks great, if I had any knowledge of how to put one of those together I would. Looks good, let us know how it works and what kind of range you get out of it.
