Im new to coyote snaring and was wondering how high off the ground you hang the bottom of the snare from the ground? Any info should help alot had a few yotes walk right though already.

Make sure you check your state regulations, but I was told 12" off the ground

General rule is 10" loop 10" off the ground, check your local regs as you may have a loop size restriction.

Thanks a lot for the info... Im pretty sure thats what my problem was hopefully I'll start catchin em now

I run 10 high 12 wide (10 inches off the ground with a 12 inch loop) but these guys are right check you regulations

I will on trail snares for coyote go 10-12" off the ground with a 12" loop. Every animal is different if you want to try and target something. going down I run about 9" off the bottom for coyotes.
