well, so far the RedRam merino wool(gander mountain had it for 30% off!!!!!) is working well and beats the tar out of the old USMC polypro stuff. It seems waaay thin but it seems to hold heat well so here is my next question....? Merino wool on the base and KIngs camo gor-tex(or what ever it is) on the outside so what goes in between? fleece, berber fleece, wool, wool fleece mix???? I was thinking a wool/fleece vest to keep the core warm but arms free and cool but that might be trying to get too light weight and end up cold? I just hate to wear any more that I have to because I hate the "all bundled up" feeling and not being able to move....
further ideas?????
