Around my parts we don't have any tourn. I was just wondering the purpose of the blocking is. I have been reading these forums and seeing that it is required. Just kinda wondering on it. Pretty much being nosy.

Each team is issued usually around eight 3/4x3/4x4 inch blocks wih holes in the end and a zip tie through it and the teams # on them and numbered 1,2,3 and so on. When the animal is killed the time of kill is recorded on the block begining with #1 and it is zip tied into its mouth behind the K9 teeth. After the animal has been dead for a couple hours it makes it almost impossible to get the animals mouth open thus keeping people at the end of the day pooling there dogs together. Hope this helps to understand

Very well put Daryl!!! I don't think that i will ever hunt in a tournament that does not block their coyotes. Its the fairest thing that they have come up with so far next to temp checks.

blocks and temp check go "hand in hand," "Can't have one without the other"!

Okay I am done with cliques!
