i loaded up some of these newer bullets for my .222 rem. and 22-250 in 53 grains and the accuraccy was not real good. finally got a box of the 45 grain and accuracy improved considerabaly. these are an all copper bullet in the hollow point and are supposed to expand to 2wice the original diameter and fully penatrate. my .222 has a 1-14 twist 22-250 1-12 twist. have only shot 3 coyotes 2fox 6-7 jackrabbits and a few feral cats and am real impressed with the performance. all have exited but so far no big holes and very quick kills. these are quite spendy though, about 27.00$ per 50. but so far i'm impressed as hell with them.

I won't tell anyone about not being under Reloading.

My .240 weatherby really likes the 85 TSX although I've never shot the TSX beyond 250 with it and curious to see what the bullet does at longer distances. What I can say that may be useful is that the TSX has a longer than normal bearing surface so most bores should favor the lighter grain TSX just as yours does. I've shot two deer with the 85 TSX and wouldn't blink before shooting one through an elk simply because I doubt the bullet would come apart on contact, even at 3500 fps or so.

Spendy, yes. I really like what I've seen but the cost prevents any interest beyond a few boxes on hand for deer.

I do like the "terminal" idea behind the TSX. Would be cool to see a jacketed, non or minimal-fragment lead core varmint cal bullet made by Sierra or Berger or Hornady or all w/a high BC.

yep, i;m gonna try them on deer this year in my 22-250.
