Ya sort of Levi. With my present eye condition I keep looking for trouble but can't find it.Except at home here with the 'Commander'-always in trouble with her.Got home 2 days ago and already got a neighbor wanting me to kill some 'damn coyotes'.Was gonna sneak in and call his place this morning but with all the rain, his access road was so soft I figured I'd better wait a day or two.Til I get the eye surgury done they might be safe anyway.Shooting left handed for sure since thats the best eye.Decided I'd quit complaining and whining though cause I'm still hunting. :D
Took a young kid out muskie fishing the other day and he had some jerky and meat sticks from a place in your town called 'L & M Meats'.Awesome stuff!!!!Gonna stop there next time through.

Dcoy, Chris and I are going to have to make a trip your direction this fall or winter, and maybe between the three of us we can find trouble or shoot some coyotes!

denises second bear of the year, small one bout 100 lbs live weight. it was the last night we were going to bear hunt this year and she shot it with about 2 minites of daylight left. we like the meat so i'm glad she took it. them big one s are hell for bnb to get out anyways. we took 6 this past week and they were all good eaters nothing over 200lbs. seen lots of wolf sign and heard them howling close by one night right at dark (or maybe it was Dcoy). hope you all have a great season and look forwards to meeting some Imageof you at some tourneys

Wow you guys are wacking and stacking you should have plenty of meat! Good to hear! Have you ever tried calling black bear? I always wanted to get up way north in Ontario where they aren't getting baited so much and try calling.

i have only tried 1 time calling and its when i saw the bear first. it was across a pond and it did come towards me but would not swim the pond. it was a regular rabbit disress and was in the spring. i think a cub in disress would work great

you better have a pair of extra shorts if your going to flirt with mamma bear and her cubs  That would be a total rush to have a bear come charging right at you  Then all you can do is pull a Fred Bear and stick him with your recurve

denise and i did get charged hard by a sow with cubs a few years ago. the sow sent the cubs up the tree 10 feet from us with a weird sound and than would not let us out of our stand. it was a real cool expieriece to see a 150lb bear act like it was queen shit. she also scared (bluffed) off several other larger bear the same night. let me say there is alot of courage in a mamma bear

"stick it with a recurve" Ya and then pass out from the rush. If those strings and sticks were so effective the indians would still own the country! I'll stick with something that makes a big bang for those situations.

took the day off and went on a roadtrip to get my bear meat from the locker. took along my 22-250. was driving down a road when i saw a white cat in the ditch with a young hungarian partridge  went up about 300 yards and pulled over. i could still see it in the ditch and was going to shoot from there when i saw my call on the dash. (a jerry hunsleys wily rabbit).i thought what the heck and started calling. the cat dropped the bird and come running down the ditch towardsd me :D  along with another white cat. mamma and 1/2 growed kitten. she stopped at about 150-175 and was facing dead on. 36 grain varmint grenade in the chest. the other cat just sat there ind it to got one, a 50 ballistic tip.  the v.g. never exited the b.t. cut it in 1/2. also shot a few pidgions for tucker because i could'nt hit them damn ruffed grouse today, 4 flushes 4 shots, no grouse  ImageImageImage
