Tim, I think you just wore your welcome out . I don't think you will be hunting with Randy anymore. Take what you learned from him and run. You have plenty of places to hunt up on the reservation. Sometimes a man has just got to keep his comments to himself or face the consequences. Too bad :x :x

Tim, what other ADC men said was "PAY ME" and stay away from me and my area nonresident. Did I ever say that??? NO

What I did was, let you ride along, get you equipment, show you numerous things, invite you to my house numerous times, all leading to you having what you stated as your best calling season ever, what part I had in that is not important.

I have lined up mutual friends with landowners and friends to call coyotes in my area, residents and nonresidents.

A nonresident claiming a resident stepped on his toes, that's different.

Tim, I flew on calf kills up there and worked the same areas up there with family and friends of ranchers on my own dime this spring. My pilot and his father related to many of those same ranches you claim asked me to come up and den with the dogs. You know I've asked some of them if they have ever heard of you and have yet to find one, so you must not be there to often.

You all wonder why ADC guys button up and disappear, this is why!!

Your welcome!!

Levi, I started a post on this subject and somehow it got deleted. It was a long one too. Talk about being mad. I had spent about 20 mins. on it. In short this is what I said. You make us out to be Saints which we ain't. Your right , I would like to go with some of these guys also. An ole fart can learn somthing too. Your welcome to come hunt with me anytime. Time in field makes a difference in your success. ADC men have that time in the field and that puts them up a notch on the rest of us. I have learned a lot on my own spending time in the field , trying different things, calls, sounds, techniques and all sorts of things. Some worked and some didn't. What I also said was keep it simple and stick to the basics. For most people they will get along fine that way. Keep it simple, pay attention to wind direction, stuff you already know. What it amounts to in anything you ever do in life : The more you do somthing the better you are at it. Doesn't matter what it is, that is a fact of life. My wife use to accuse me of driving somthing into the ground , but that is my make -up. Coyote calling was no exception. At my ripe ole age of 64, I still learn a thing or two. My best advice would be ,if your having luck calling coyotes keep doing and using sounds you are comfortable with. When your success falls off, try somthing different, maybe howling or some other sounds especially later on in the season.
I remember years ago , I was out with a guy and he did the calling. Sounded really bad and I was laughing to myself when up over the hill popped a coyote. So mr. coyote can be called in lots of different ways with different sounds. I love to go with different people and listen to their calling with hand calls.
When I started calling years ago, I just learned by myself. Lots of mistakes and missed coyotes. I don't get out as much as I use to, but when I do I still get a thrill. Your welcome to come hunting with me anytime.

Good grief is about right. Some of these threads seem to morph into personal 'differences' that the objective audience is unaware (because the ojective audience is not intended to be included- I get it). Even so, there's a common, self-serving tendency to get a little too far out of original context, don't you think?

My point is that there are plenty of examples, including here, where it's obvious that misundertanding others is an act of the will. "Pride only breeds quarrels."

Well I have been gone a few days and wow this has gone crazy. I just want to say the time spent in SD with Randy and Jerry was priceless. I enjoyed every minute of every day and learned things from both of them .I hope I never wear out my welcome in SD and take what I leaned with the upmost respect. I never want to claim any of it as my own but as something I learned from a couple good friends. If I was given the opp to hunt with Coyotehunter or PraireGhost you can bet I would jump at the chance. You can never learn enough and you never know you may teach as well. There are several guys on here that have there poop in a group and it's not that they know how to call any better than anyone else but this is what they do and they understand how a coyote behaves. I hope to have some SD friends for years to come and I hope to go there again but also they are welcome to my house anytime.. Thanks again to Jerry and Randy.
I would rather have a slow hit than a fast miss...
