LR Coyotes cont.

Post by Pilgrim »

Here's a thought:

How about CoyoteHunter.net initiate an annual fun trial shoot/ get together late next summer somewhere in the middle of the Dakotas?

Sort of like a 3gun or moving course tactical shoot, but distances & scenarios to imitate coyote hunting- Similar to the event profiled in this link, but not as elaborate:

http://www.6mmbr.com/norcaltactical.html

Two man teams, entry fees, small bore only, limited entries, weekened shoot, prizes... like a coyote tourney, but warmer.

not a bad idea. we could get stray cats for the moving targets.

Hey guys,
I do have the facilities to hold such an event. I would be happy to open the range up for something like this. Give me a call if you guys want to persue this. 800-528-4868

Jeff R- Thanks for getting me off the hook for a location!

I'm just the idea guy, but I'm happy to help CH if they want to explore it. Seems to me the key would be balancing the amount of entrants in order to maintain a quality/enjoyable event. Too many could easily be a cluster/ too demanding on resources. No doubt there's a few guys here with experience in organizing stuff. Notice how these tactical events limit the shooters, not only per head count, but by the physical demands of the event. There's also an entertainment quality to it that will attract non-participants. Cool to add a kid shoot, cookout, camp out, calling contest... whatever.

Ultimately, I just thought it would be a neat compliment opportunity for the CoyoteHunter.net crowd.

Like anything else, ideas have consequences- takes equipment, time, ideas, cooperation, facility, fine tuning...

Another thing is I think the shooting sports aspect could create or broaden some sponsorship opps for CoyoteHunter.net ??

That fridge is like a Lighthouse Becon. It will direct you right to his front door.

Well, I think Jeff and I need to have a talk. I think that would be a lot of fun. I especially like the idea of the after party at Randy's place. camp out, fire, beer and guns.................sounds about right.

The locals might even show you a few spots to call a coyote or two,and it won't cost a thing.
