Are you putting up your fur? the fox market is crap and you live in NC where even the bobcats can't be real nice so is fur damage a REAL issue here?

I used to trap when i was a teenager and yes i used to put up fur, there are a couple of local buyers within a couple hours drive from me, I thought i would try to sell some if i could call them and in and kill a couple. Fur issue with the fox is no big deal, i wouldnt care if i shot one of them with a 300 win mag, there are tons of them around here, and seeing how i live in NORTH CAROLINA our furbearers have got to be practically worthless, right????????!!!!!! Bobcats however have made a big come back in this area and if i were to kill one, i dont want to MANGLE him up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The first cat goes to the taxidermist and the rest on the market if they look good. Most of the coyotes i see are on my hunting ground in central Ohio, or when i'm out in Nebraska just south of Omaha visiting my sister, every once in a while we hear or see a coyote around here.

they are coming back slowly. heck i seen 5-6 yesterday out on the montana line. did'nt have the heart to shoot though

Thanks for posting! I use to do a LOT of that when i was younger and cut my tooth on calling those little streakers. A 15 below day with the sun shining and a red spotted is what i consider a great time. It's amazing how far you can learn to spot them with you eye driving around once you train yourself to look for them.
