Scope suggestions
I was wondering what scope you guys would suggest for low light conditions. I hunt mostly wooded area so early morning and late evening shooting gets kinda dark. I dont exactly need a long range scope as most shots wont be over 100 to 150 yrds. Right now im having to use my 30-30 and need a scope that gathers light pretty good. Thanks for any input.

Re: Scope suggestions
first off, don't buy a nikon
if those are the only conditions you hunt, i would go for something like a 2x7. i personally like burris, weaver, redfield. there are aloot of options on scopes but i use what i can afford.

100-150yds i honestly don't believe it makes much difference unless you go with the bottom of the barrel.

Re: Scope suggestions
i would get something like a 1-4x with at least a 30mm tube or better. one that i've been looking at that makes me drool is an ior valdada 1x/4x pitbull, it has an extremely wide field of view which is good for fast target acquisition. it also has a bdc reticle to reach further out if you had too. its quite the compact little scope but at like $1200 bucks, its pretty pricey, but something similar to that, i think, would be good for you. there's a lot of em out there similar to that.

Re: Scope suggestions
i was hunting with a friend one evening before the sun was completely down trust me it was legal. he took a shot with his rifle with a mid range cost scope. he said it was foggy so i said take a look through mine & see what you think if it helps out any. he said WOW, what a difference. it was clear as clear could be. i had a 3X9X40 LR (long range for those how may not know) leupold. best of all it has a no ? asked gaurantee. no matter what. i like it on my savage 270 win. brought me my first deer (doe) ever. waiting on that first coyote. thats my 2 cents leupold is the way to go you will never never regret it in the short or long term. optic planet is where i got my beauty for close to $270
right where God wants me
