The stupidity of people knows no bounds.

The coyotes in my area have started to rub, so I figured id give her one more go today, than call it a year.

My first set this morning was in one of "my spots". Great spot, cant say ive killed a coyote there each time, but my kill rate there is exceptional.

Anyway, about ten minutes in, here comes mr. coyote trotting down the fence line, just like they always do at this spot. Im watching him come through the scope, waiting for him to get to "the kill hill" where ive dumped just about every coyote ever killed in this spot. (which the crest of is at exactly 107 yards......ya, I know this spot very well).

Hes coming just as nice as can be, when at about 350 yards, he stops, perks up, and turns tail to bolt out of there. Im sitting there thinking "what the f**k"?

Turn around to see two "coyote hunters" walking down my snowshoe tracks along the fence about a quarter mile away.

They get to the next hill behind me, set up, and start calling. Thats when I get up, pack up, and start walking to them. Good thing I wasnt a coyote, they didnt see me till I was 150 yards away.

As soon as they see me, they turn the e-caller off and one guy stands up and hollers "good morning". In the time it took me to get to him he must have said "good morning" five or six times.

I get up to him (havent said a word yet) and ask him "so you two must be f*cking stupid or something"?

I get the deer in the headlight look.

I say, "well you must be something, because its pretty *expletive* stupid and inconsiderate to park RIGHT next to someones truck and walk RIGHT down their *expletive* track, what did you think these tracks were going to end in, a *expletive* elephant? What the f*ck did you think someone was doing out here, picking flowers?"

He answers, "well we didnt know what side of the road you were hunting".

I say, "so you ARE stupid than? As you can plainly see *expletive* fresh snowshoe tracks leading right down the f*cking fence". (By now im REALLY pissed and yelling).

The other guy, who was 40 yards up the hill walks down now and asks if theres a problem.

I tell him damn right theres a f****** problem. I ask him if hes f****** stupid. He at least answers "no".

I say "so whats your excuse than? Why the f*** would you come in here knowing full well someones already out here"?

He says "we're real sorry but you don't have to be an ass about it".

I told him to shut the f*ck up and started walking back.

Sure as shit, their front bumper wasnt ten damn feet away from my tailgate back on the road. They literally followed my track EVERY FREAKIN STEP of the way right from the road.

So, was I wrong? Did I go overboard? Was I the "ass" here? I don't think so.

I passed their truck two hours later parked on the side of the road at a different spot. Im not the spiteful type, but man o' man I was really fighting the urge to spray gravel on their windshield and just lay on the horn as I went by. But I didn't.

Luckily, I pulled and killed 3 off my next several sets. Making a horrible start to the morning a little better.

Sorry for the vent. Just one of the many "perks" of hunting in the populated side of ND I guess.

Yep, I would have been pissed too. That is really dumb. I look for a long time to find a spot nobody would have ever tried, and these guys used your same fresh tracks... Too many hunters or whatever you call them.

Cant fix stupid!!! I would of done the same exact thing, You just know these guys hunt 3 times a year, thats what really pisses a guy off!!!

Your a better man then I am cause I think If I would have seen there pickup 2 hours later I would have snuck into where they were calling and waited for them to call something in and then start shooting at it before they had the chance to or something. At least lay on the horn when I drove by.

I'm pissed just reading your post! definitely not out of line.
I've had several occasions that I was able to meet stupid and stupid while I was in College there in Fargo. I've talked with a couple of them in the same manner, both of whom did very similar things as you had happen. Opening a can is all you can do. People need to be more considerate. I would have stuck a note on their window after the 2hr passing, got the shovel out and started to bury their truck with snow. It's so tempting to slug the guys but then you're ass will be handed to you legally.

I think you were in the right for acting the way you did and I would have and have done the same thing; to some extent.

I feel to many people nowadays have learned to hunt and fish from people that are inconsiderate, and take the easy way out....aka follow someone that has scouted and done their homework and you to look good....
