hi all .. im new here .. just wanted to say hi and introduce my self ..
i live in lower MI and it looks like ive got a few coyotes running around the property . [ i also have goats and rams as pets ] so i dont want the coyotes around .
im looking for tips on this sport as in set up , calling , [ is an electronic caller any good or should i learn to use a mouth caller . but that will take time to call it the right way . so i was looking at the primos power dogg caller .. is this awaste of money . or worth it . keep in mind that i own livestock and want to take care of the problem pronto. ive also had them playing outside the fence with my dogs . about 2 feet away .. also small children on both sides of me . what about rifle . ive got a 22 250 . but not sure if i can use it down here as its a center fire . but that may be only for deer hunting . some say it is legal as its still a 22 cal , not sure on the law so i may pick up a 17 or a 22mag
not sure on those which is better .
thanks for any help and pointers in advance

Re: new to coyotes
Welcome!! I think from what you have stated above, trapping and or snaring the coyotes might have a better impact than trying to call them. Feel free to research some old posts to gather as much information as you can. You should know your states laws and regulations before jumping in and buying new equipment only to loose it by not understandng a certain law.
