Post by Tbush »

Just wanted to give a big THANK YOU to Coyotehunter.net for all the things you guys do for all of us!! :D Personally its been great to meet new people at the tournaments becoming friends with you, hunting with some of you and drinking a few coyotes in a can together :mrgreen:and cool stories of long shots made and short shots missed, for me 40 yds at tha Classic :( of almost shooting a one legged guy in my space  only to shoot a mangy yote on the 4 shot instead   and tobe with a guy when he shoots his first coyote and jumps around like an 8 year old,in a blizzard in Balta were the diehards stand alone  all the time spent on snow shoes doing face plants...Man its all priceless   I have been lucky to place in a few tournaments this year and the winnings have paid for me to play :D The williston tourny " Luke's hunt" was a great, great event in memory of a good kid and hard lessons learned by others who are true sportsmen 8) I am proud to be a part of it all, as I understand the work it took to get it all going and it will get easier as time goes on :)Those of you that are new ,its a hunt were coyotehunter.net put together a scholarship from $ raised from the hunters that hunt in it. sooo don't miss this one, agian THANKS Coyotehunter.net. The snow goes away, so do my whites get put away, snow shoes hung up,guns get cleaned, calls get washed off and batteries taken out of the fox pro. Oops...............NOT...... the snow geese will be here soon and a rifle is traded for a shot gun, new batteries go in the fox pro. and the whites aren't for camo anymore they turn me into a big snow goose, waders replace snow shoes and the coyote gun goes in the truck "just in case"

great post Tbush. it was a fun year i'll say that. wish i had taken more pics but i lost my camera in a snow bank. i had a decent year #'s wise but did'nt break my one year record :( i don't mind some snow but 2 years of this is enough. . i hunted hard and early season had coyotes coming to the call real well but it dropped off about mid jan. lets hope the economy recovers so us that contribute withougt winning can still go to the tourneys   . i enjoy all the guys so far that i've met and hope to meet more next year.

We dont take pics anymore, wish we could post some. We had a good tournament year, We placed in all but 2 touraments, (not including Balta snow death trap) Number wise was average, as long as we improve each year I am happy. still waiting for a monster year!!! Had alot of fun this season, the snow made extemely tough, but we made it out almost every weekend, and if the weather was shitty we learned we can sit in my basement, watch step brothers and drink squirt and everclear and it makes up for being snowed in.!!!

P.S its my partners fault we didnt place in those 2 tournaments!

Great post TBush!! It was a good year i certainly enjoyed it. It was fun to get to put faces to a few more names on here and be involved in a great new tournament (Luke's Hunt). I can say getting to meet Marty and Mitch and getting to ride along on their many adventures was a great addition this year. Now is the offseason for most of you but it's time to get to work with your offseason work, scouting (denning areas), finding new areas ect ect. I would highly highly reccommend so of you guys that are die-hard tournament hunters to get out this summer (mid to late June would be ideal) to some areas that you want to hunt for a tournament and find those denning areas.

That is a great post,

I did not have a good numbers year at all due to a veritable smorgasbord of really ODD things happening this year but I did get my first EVER fox and my and my hunting buddy, although we did not place in the NDCC, did way better by our standards that we ever thought we would and were very proud of our effort. We met a ton of cool people who were more than willing to help out rookie tournament hunters like us with great tips and advice like to hide behind a frozen cow pie :D . BTW, TBush, I wasnt exactly trying to be in your space, I was putting on a TCD(tactical coyote drive). If I told you I was there, it would not have been "tactical" and therefore, not nearly as effective. You know, the classic two pronged attack! Next year you should wear an orange deer hunting vest and that way we can avoid that
! :D

Anyway, my hat is off to the fellas that put on the tournaments that allow me the memories/good times that I get out of the deal. Dang good job and great meeting you all and I look forward to seeing all of you next year at least the NDCC and maybe another tourney or two if I can swing it.

Have a great summer fellas,

Jaybic
