i'm guessing thats an o.k. price for springtime shot beaver. also, it looks like those beaver are quite pale also which i think are not the most desirable :?:

I think your right bucks, thats pretty fair. I was told the river beaver fur already shot, Dusty from the furshed was showing me river beaver last weekend and how bad they look. Those beaver in the pictures are blonde, which really hurts the value. But keep hammering away, get lots of quanity!

Shot placement is key if you want to sell a shot beaver. There are a lot of guys yet that run just a standard foot hold for beaver or snare them on land and when they get to them they need to dispatch them. If you are shooting them several times in the body, then yes the price will drop. Like levi mentioned, the color of the beaver in that pic are not preffered, but when you start factoring in everything the fur buyer is making on them, (pelt, castor, oil glands, carcass for sled dogs) he is making out quite well only giving 7 dollar average. just my 2 cents. Like levi mentioned mitch get them in quantity to make up for the quality

You could most likely get that average to around $20 put up, it's a lot of work. Send it to auction and you will get exactly what they are worth minus 10%.

I am just glad guys do it cause beaver are a lot of work and time to trap out on complaints and it's usually in the heat etc. by the time we get the complaints. Ever trap beaver in July and Aug.?? I wish beaver were bringing a $100 a piece so more people would go after them.

Mitch your local WS guy there luvs ya.
