Re: 1 shooter
I shot this group last Friday at 100 yards:

50 grain Remington UMC JHP is what I've been shooting. The holes on the right side in the middle are from trying to find where to aim to hit the small circle in the top right corner.

Re: 1 shooter
Nope, I haven't gotten a chance to shoot at those distances with it yet. Need to get home and get to the gun range. Did get it painted today though with some help from silverdog (thanks buddy!) and here's what she looks like now:

The bi-pod was painted to match the gun, just don't have it mounted quite yet so that the paint can fully dry so they don't stick together.

Re: 1 shooter
The gun looks good, but I think you need some work on the grouping. You must be shooting factory loads I imagine. I love buying a new gun and working up a load that shoots very well. Hornady factory ammunition has a reputation for shooting well.

Why am I not surprised by your methodology?
I do agree with Jerry about group shooting. 100 yards is plenty for now, btw.
Other than that, seems your view improves in relation to time spent with Silverdog. Keep that going.

Re: 1 shooter
After I get paid I'll get a few more rounds of what I've been shooting and only put 5 rounds or so through a new target. It's a really well shooting gun, it just maybe doesn't look like it from the above picture because I shot it up so much. I'll get a new picture up soon as I can.

Re: 1 shooter
1Shooter; hey if you ever need some help just give me a holler. I have a set of dies laying around and some different powders, just bring some bullets and primers and we can tighten those groups up.. Later..

Re: 1 shooter
just my 2 cents but once you have the gun sighted in I would forget shooting paper for a while and start shooting some sort of silhouette at varying distances out to at least 300 yards. I would not worry aobut your groups I guess as long as you can hit a paper plate out to 300 yards. use some common sense here but you do not need 1/2" groups to kill coyotes. Prone shots, and seated, not a bad idea to have several shots at different distances in rapid succession. You will have all day to shoot paper and concentrate on that nice group.....in the field it never seems to work out that way. If you are going to practice try to keep it as real to life as possible. Just my opinion.
