working for a farmer up north and he's been hearing coyotes south of his house a mile away. there is STILL a standing cornfield, 300 acres. i took a slow tour of the area and found the only place that seemed likely was the corn. parked along a drainage ditch and walked out bout 1/2 mile. started out with some howls follewed by pup distress. got a pair called in. was tricky shooting through the standing/bent over corn but it worked . decided i had to take pics to show the farmer but the only way was to wade the ditch. so.... i took off my boots/socks and went in. i only had to go about 40 yards to the first one but i felt as though i was walking on glass. took pics of that one but was not gonna walk the other 30 yards to the second. this is a male, not sure what the other is but expecting it the female. have picked quite a few thorny things outta my feet. i'll never do that agian. these are the first coyotes i've seen in 2 months. felt real good to do it again

What are your shoes made of, sugar? I can't even walk across the carpet in my bare feet anymore. When I was a kid I could run on gravel but its a different story now.
