Wow. How many people to a team? How many did the first place team shoot?
I would rather have a slow hit than a fast miss...

Re: Our tourny ( Alberta Canada )
Those alberta coyotes sure are pretty. As far as 24 for frist place, if this was a one day hunt, sounds a little high. I can't say either way if they cheated or not but it seems a little unrealistic. I know alberta is loaded with coyotes, but something sounds fishy. Well i hope next year it goes just as well for you. Feel free to ask any questions on how to run a tournament on here cause that is what most of us do all winter on this site is hunt different tournaments.

Re: Our tourny ( Alberta Canada )
Yah pretty sure they had some help. As most of us have a personal best of around 14 coyotes in a day. Oh well hopefully they didn't cheat and if we can prove they did they wont be invited back. As far as the weather it was real nice and calm in the morning about -10c not sure what that is converted. Around 2 pm the wind came up and that was about the end of the coyotes for the day ( my team anyway )

Re: Our tourny ( Alberta Canada )
Grizzler if you stick to the rules that jamie has set forth in his tournaments and enforce them to the fullest extent you will be miles ahead of yourself and there wont be any stress about cheating. Every team no matter how good they are at cheating will slip up somewhere sometime and that will be the end of them. I like your attitude when you say if you find a team that cheats there done. 14 coyotes in a day for team is outstanding. I know the coyote population in alberta is extremely high and although 16 to 18 might be doable on a perfect day i think your in the right to question 24!!!

Hey Darrel your more than welcome to come up. Not sure how the rules read about out of province and if you would need a licenced guide or not. I do know of a guy who guides coyote hunts professionally.

Re: Our tourny ( Alberta Canada )
Alberta is the only providence that i know of where a non resident can legally shoot a coyote. I am not sure about having to go through an outfitter though.

I'll look into it. I know that when guys come come up whitetail hunting all they have to do is buy a coyote / wolf tag for $20.00.

Grizz might have to check into that. I wanted to hunt in Canada for along time. I don't care if we only saw one just to say I did it.
