When i was sneaking a lot of fox i always did the squeak and get his head up to head shoot him.

DCOY good point i have snuck fox that had sunk in the snow so that only the ears were visible on the level. A guy doesn't realize how much they melt and sink into the snow.

I live in Belle Plaine MN, Howling around here does work at night .But not so much durning the day.I,ve had pretty good luck around here scouting for tracks, scat and dead animals.Find the best stand locations and find ways to sneak into the area. Then I hunt a full moon at night in the snow. I hit all the spots i scouted and have very good success. As far as getting a coyote out of a cuvert, use a piece of barbed wire doubled up about ten feet long.Put a stick on one end of the wire so you can twist the wire like a cork opener.Bend up the other end of the wire on stick it in the culvert and start twisting the stick. The coyote gets caught in the wire and then pull him out and hit him over the head. Pretty good time.
