coyotes and geese

Post by bucksnbears »

i've been watching a coyote that lives in the city limits of moorhead for over a month now. it lives in a wooded draw in north moorhead by the beet plant lagoons.anyway he's been living high on the hog on the baby geese that are being born in the lagoons(hundreds)i've been working north of town and about 3 times a week i see him racing across the field with a baby goose. well today he had one but the young geese are getting quite large and the one he had was still flopping and a whole bunch of adult geese were chasing right after him. he dropped his meal and headed for the draw.there are 2 does with fawns that live right with the coyote and have seen them together(within 100 yards af each other )several times. i suppose with 500 baby geese within 300 yards there was no need to catch a fawn. this coyote apears to be alone and hav'nt seen any pups.

Sounds to me like a real good place for a trap or snare. LOLOLOL Just make sure the neighborhood can't see him in the location.
