Hunting maps

Post by jaybic »

Hey fellas,

I am trying to get a good map of some area that I hunt and have a few questions.

1.If you guys are using maps, what scale do you recommend? In the USMC we used 1/50,000 topo maps.

2. Should I get aerial maps rather than topo maps(what I actually see on Googleearth)? both?

3. any other map ideas or tips you care to share would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks again fellas. :D

I always use 1:100,000 topo maps made by the BLM that had the color coded system for public vs private, school land, state land and gov't ground
