Putting up Beaver

You guys that have put up beaver do you perfer using plywood or metal hoops? Just curious if there are any advantages using one or the other. Cost wise they are about the same.

what shape beaver do you like. i like the shearable smalls i used to catch lots of them but now all i get are blankets

Metal hoops are so much easier. Work great by themselves on small-medium sizes, but you NEED a tension bar for big blankets or you'll get some egg shaped beaver. The bars are cheap, or easy to make yourself.
