Finally some cold weather

Post by Jeff Rheborg »

Where was this weather last week when we needed it. I think the dog numbers would have been allot higher for the Classic if we had the sub zero temps forcasted for this weekend. Don't get me wrong it was nice weather last weekend if you were a duck... I just like it COLD.

Later,
Jeff.

SLEEP IN?????? I promise you I will be right in the middle of things. Hook and I are in another contest this weekend. Our season is getting close to the end around here, only about a month left plus we are running out of dogs too... So we are gonna hit it hard.

With this cold snap, I think a guy can go back to rabbit in distress and knock the poop out of some dogs. Been windy and cold all week here so they will be hungry...

Good Luck this week!! I heard the dog numbers are down in SD. Is there any truth to that or not??

Tell Hook to be alittle more patient on stand, and not to stand up when there are 3 dogs looking at him

As far as the numbers thing goes, they are down somewhat. I know the guys down south of us are struggling to find them. We still have some good numbers in pockets around us, but they are very smart right now. Allot of guys trying to get'em.

I just got off the phone with Hook and he said "it's easier to see the dogs when you are standing up"

good old hook  I think he just needs them to be within ten yards so he can see them  yeah this cold weather should spark some things up this weekend. I know i am heading out saturday and sunday. I was going to go this morning but my truck had a flat tire and figured i would rather have that fixed before i head out this weekend

I do miss those great calling days of 20 below when they all seem to come running full tilt. I have seen one day of 6 below in the morning here but nothing like back home.

Good luck this weekend boys knock'em dead

I've hunted in 44 below and believe me it doesn't take them long to get to you when there are burning that many calories to stay warm  those are the things that keep me up at night. Thats what REAL wet dreams are made of!
