New man on deck

Post by xdeano »

Hello All,

I just wanted to say hello, I've been meaning to join the site for some time now, life has just been busy.

I'm here to gobble up any good info that can be gleaned and hopefully give back some good real world info.

Thanks guys for your time.

Jerry glad to see a familiar face. There's always the next one. I'm a bit further out now than I was when I was living in Mandan, I'm living up by Grand Forks now.
I'm hoping to get back down there a few times a year just to hit up some old ground. I forgot how much harder it is to sneak up on a coyote with nothing to hide behind. :) gotta love the black desert.

Talk to you later,

all is going great. I'll work on the pictures, I don't typically take pics, just the ones in my head.
But i'll work on it. :)

The main issue is that my camera eats batteries like candy. It has issues. Around here just about everything I walk up on that's in a trap is dead, farmers like to shoot the critters before I get to them. :) I'll work on the camera.

Ya i have had to have some conversations about that, i always use training new dogs as a alibi.

They all think that they are going to "pull out"

Not sure what you got for a camera but I just hand a Canon Elph. I lost my charger somewhere so I bought one off of Ebay for 8 bucks and it came with a car adapter so I can charge my cameras battery while hunting and driving.

8 bucks, that's a deal. We have a canon piece of crap. It is a 6 mega pixel and it takes pretty good pics when it wants to work. I wish I had a nicer camera but I tend to spend my money on better optics for my rifles. :D maybe some day when i win a lottery.

I have two Canons. If you think they are pieces of crap I would sure like to know what you consider good. Canons are the icing on the cake for cameras as far as I am concerned.

well i guess, you can have my icing, i'll eat my cake plain, because the rig i have is better served as a target. Maybe I just got a lemon. The wife was going to take it back to Sams club.
What is the mega pix on that elph you have?

My elph is 7.2 megapixels. We also have a Canon A610 I believe (not at home now so I can't look up the number). It is only a 5 MP but it takes crystal clear shots...more clear than my 7.2 MP Elph.

I'll have to say that an upgrade is due for me then. I'll look into the $8 elph, that sounds like a heck of a deal. I am kind of leery to purchase electronics from ebay. But i'll definitly look into it.
