I would have liked to seen this hunt and Beulahs hunt on different weekends. Would be nice to hunt them both.
I would rather have a slow hit than a fast miss...

Both areas are great and sure would have loved to hunt them both. What is the name (not the town) of this tournament again??

I was hoping to but I cant leave town(Rochester MN) until noon on the 5th so I would miss the entire first day. Otherwise, it would have given me the chance to hunt my first tournament. I am there for 10 days doing nothing but hunting coyotes but I guess my timing stinks.

Oh well,

Bustincoyote1,

Funny you should say that because I am holding the "Jaybic Memorial Coyote Extravaganza Bonanza" tournament ( Im not even dead yet but I liked the sound of it) starting 06 December and ending on 14December and I am the the only participant other than my buddy who calls and shoots considerably worse than I do. There are no rules other than ND state law and a high level of hunting ethics and I fully expect to take home the entire purse(all the beer I can drink after the hunting day at the 2 and 7/8ths Bar...anyone know this place?) and we may even view or better yet, kill a coyote during our trip.

Then I am coming back on the 31st of December to Jan 12th and the same contest starts all over again for me and the same fool I hunt with(for 32 years now).

Anyway, fellas, have a great tournament. :D

I never noticed that the tournament is a 2 day tournament!!! I also didn't realize until i mapquested where halliday was, and how close these towns are!!! I love hunting tournaments but my partener and i had a bad experience last year with hunting a tournament that had 2 local towns also havning a tournament the same day. It really sucks hunting in an area that has been hunteed just recently or to have another hunter come walking out in front of your calling area, or you say that spot looks great only to see a set of human tracks going into it. I just hope that everything fairs out well for everyone at both tournaments. I usually dont know until last minute if im hunting a tournament or not with the exception of a few tournaments i hunt rain, sleet, shine, snow, or any combination there of :D
