Coyote Rigs!

Post by Brod_Man »

I wasnt sure whether to post this here or in the photo section. I wanted to know if i could see some pics of your coyote hunting rig. Also some description. Like the gun itself, scope price, etc. I just want a few more ideas before i go out and pay a few hundred dollars on one.
Thanks in advance.

Here's my rig, a Kimber 22-250 with a VXIII 4.5x14 with a Kenton Industries target turret. This fall it got a do-it-yourself $10 paint job. It was pretty hard to hit the trigger on that paint can, but I think it turned out great.

Oh-- breaks my heart to see that Kibmber painted. <tear> :o Granted, its only a tool-- tell me you at least put a crap stock on it first?? I have a 84 in a 204 and would rather cut off a leg than paint it. Looks good, though.

True enough, but God himself shutters when you paint over 100 year-old walnut. That gun looks awesome, though. Anyone have any suggestions on paint products that won't chip, etc?

Paint chips show integrity and memories  As far a good paint goes you need to rough sand it first metal and all if you plan on painting it and then add a good primer base. Then i bielieve it is KRYLON who has the flat camo colors to touch it up with. After that is all done make sure you put a flat sealer on it and you will be good to go.

I love the target turrit, and yes that is the original stock. I had the paint for about 3 months before I had enough balls to paint it. The paint I used is krylon ultra flat kaki and earth brown. Also I primed it first.
