I live in harvey and this is the worst winter i can ever remeber next 97 for snow. if someone doesnt live on the road your trying to get down it will be plugged you can't get anywhere. be prepared to do a lot of walking if you don't have snow shoes stay home i guarantee you will be one miserable S.O.B at the end of the day. not exagerating either snow is up to your boys. bring a shovel tow rope and cell phone. be prepared to walk and walk and walk

Snowshoes are a MUST out there for sure. A few weeks ago i pulled a few dogs west of Fessenden, Also found alot of fox up there... i had a blast hunting them, i havent been anywhere in the past few years that had the numbers of fox that area up there does. Keep a close eye on the roads like devil dog mentioned..... i spent 4.5hours shoveling when the road i was on disapeared and blended into the vast, flat ocean of desolate white... miserable afternoon. Regaurdless of all that i was out in it the next day lurin fur in the same hard access areas... that is what seperates predator hunters from the rest

We hunted up that way a few weeks ago and I will echo what was said:
Bring your snowshoes...bring a shovel or two...prepare to backtrack 5-7 miles at a time when you find a road blocked by drifts...if you don't you WILL get stuck and you'll be digging out. It's also a good idea to have a ND Gazette book it could save you some time and gas.

If you're going there tomorrow or saturday, don't come via the NE part of SoDak.We are buried here today and travel is paralyzed and impossible in some places. With the 12-14 inches of new snow we have 30mph winds=serious drifts.

Levi,
Amen.Damn tractor didn't plug itself in so it won't start.Foolishly thought it was done with -15 temps this year. While it warms up-may try get a pic for you of a drift or two.
