LMFAO!!  Dcoy that was a pretty good one! Whenever the farmer/rancher says something like that you pretty much have to believe it and just let the critter go. If a buffalo is anything like a cow you can jsut stand there until they get close and then just jump off to the side cause they can't turn quick  LOL ring around the rosy with a pissed off bull buffalo

Boy!!! These stories are great!!! LMAOROTF I don't have any stories quite like these but if I think of some I will post them. You never know what you will come upon out hunting. And yes always be weary of the farm dogs. I see it like this. If the dog comes up and growls at me I figure he is fine. It is the one waiting around the corner that you don't see that will get you.

Dcoy that was good one got a good chuckle out of that one!!!!!

Chris and Levi one of the days you are going to hear the phase "why don't you get down and pray for me" with all the crazies you run into!!

This is one that was relayed to me.

A goverment trapper goes to a ranch to ask permission to call a pasture to help the neighbor sheep rancher that is losing lambs on a daily basis. The rancher replies well that is all forest service land so you can call those three pastures but not this one! The goverment trapper pulls his cowboy hat down tight and says see this card here mr rancher this says that i work for the federal goverment and since that is goverment ground i will be going into call it. The rancher shrugs his shoulders and the trapper walks away feeling a little taller. After the trapper had dissappeared for about 10 minutes here he comes on a dead run screaming for help from the rancher with a 2500lb hereford bull on his heels in response the rancher starts yelling "Show him your card, show him your card!!!"

I trapped a skunk in a ladies kitchen last year that should tell you enough about the shape of her house!!!

Well i can add a trapping story from this weekend. I was checking traps and as i come up to the second farmstead that i have traps set at i see a truck by one of my traps. well i rush over there as fast as i could and i see some guy sitting where my trap is. Well i approach him to ask him what he thinks hes doing and i couldn't help but notice he was caught in one of my traps   i caught a poor old white haired man by his toes   i couldn't help it but smile and all the while trying to stay serious and telling him that tampering with traps is illegal. So i asked him why he is in the prediciment he is in and he said it looked like someting was digging there and he wanted to see what kind of animal it was and when he whent to push on the dirt with his fee to see how old the tracks were and snap i got him by his toes    He had a hard time reaching to his feet from old age and he couldn't compress my trap far enough to get his foot out. I asked him how long he was there and he said oh about 5 minutes. Im sure he would have gotten out eventually but it was just way too funny to come up to a trap and see some old man sitting in a trap

If i can count myself as catches i would have more catches on myself than animals   I have caught some really unique things this year. I think that guy would have evetually gotten himself out but i just happened to be at the right place at the right time   At first i was really mad becuase i thought someone was stealing my trap but then i saw him sitting there with a trap on his foot i couldn't help it but feal bad for him. I even had another accidental that day and really can't say what it was on a forum! I caught a possum this year too that had to make me giggle a little. I set my bucket sets out and when opeing weekend came i set the conibears in them and as i walked up checking all the buckets i see on of them has a grey lump in it so i thought possum right away and well when i get up there i see that he has a marshmallow hanging out of his mouth and one in his claws  It looked like he was trying to eat the marshmallows even after a 220 conibear just suitcased him

You should put a shoe on a stretcher on hand that in to Dusty this year with the rest of your catches. Better yet take a sock, soak it in starch water, put on a stretcher, then when it is hardened up lay that in between some of your coyote fur and see what Dusty says!

Or if the heel was wore out abit you would get docked for the hide being rubbed.

Or if the sock was a little stained he would ask if you shot the sock early since the hide was a little blue rather than white.
